Grab your share in our great 100 giveaway

Every day next week there will be another great reason to grab your copy of the Leicester Mercury.

From Monday to Saturday, one reader every day will receive 100 cash.

All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is answer a simple question, which will be printed in the paper each day.

Readers will have until midnight to get their answer in to have a chance of winning.

With their 100, the lucky winners could pick up the presents they wanted but didn't get for Christmas, such as some new clothes, jewellery, perfume or food. Or perhaps they will treat their family or friends.

Leicester Mercury promotions co-ordinator Caroline Lowe said: "To be in with a chance of winning, Mercury readers simply need to text their answers to each day's question following the instructions in the paper.

"The winner will be chosen at random each day and will win 100 to spend on whatever they like.

"This will be a brilliant competition to spread some joy on these cold January days and we look forward to bringing big smiles to the faces of the winners."

To launch the exciting giveaway, we went on to the streets of Leicester to ask readers what they would do if they won 100.

Craig Bradshaw, 17, of Beaumont Leys, said: "I'd probably spend it on going to football matches now that City are worth watching again. Or I might give some to my mum so she can treat herself."

Dave Johnson, 45, of Clarendon Park, Leicester, said: "I would go out for dinner."

Allison Bartellet, 28, and Gareth Bannister, 38, said they would put the cash towards a break. Gareth, of Enderby, said: "We are planning a weekend away so the money would go towards that."

The 100 giveaway follows last week's giveaway which saw dozens of Leicester Mercury readers win Apple products worth thousands of pounds. The prizes included iPads, iTunes vouchers and iPod Touch music players. For your chance to win 100 in cash, do not miss your Leicester Mercury on Monday.
