TAMPA — At the start of the Class 3A region playoffs, Nelson Agholor promised his teammates he would have at least one dunk in each game. So far, Agholor is living up to his promise.

The junior guard scored 15 points in Berkeley Prep's 61-44 victory over Lakeland Tenoroc on Thursday night, none more important than his game-changing dunk after stealing the ball at half court in the fourth quarter.

"As soon as I got the ball I knew I was going for it," Agholor said. "It was all adrenaline. This is a win or go home game."

At the end of the first quarter, the Bucs trailed by three while shooting 3-for-9 from the free-throw line. In the second quarter the team settled down enough to take a two-point lead into the half.

"We didn't give them any statistics at halftime because I didn't want to plant that seed," coach Bobby Reinhart said. "We just tried to get them to focus on getting back to playing our style of game."

Before Agholor's slam, the Bucs' biggest lead was six points. After it, they built a lead via senior guard Josh Williams's team-high 19 points and three assists.

"We wore them down," Reinhart said. "We …knew that they attacked the rim. We got some of their key guys in trouble with charging calls early on so they were forced to play side to side rather than north and south."
