Pitching matchups: RHP Ubaldo Jimenez (6-9, 4.46) vs. LHP Derek Holland (10-4, 4.14) at 8:05 p.m. today; RHP Fausto Carmona (5-11, 5.31) vs. LHP CJ Wilson (10-5, 3.38) Saturday at 8:15 p.m.; and RHP Josh Tomlin (11-5, 4.16) vs. RHP Colby Lewis (10-8, 4.00) Sunday at 8:05 p.m.

Indians update: Entering Thursday night’s game against Boston, they have lost eight of their last 11 games. The Tribe is hitting .167 (21-for-126) as a team against Texas and has been outscored, 26-6. Carlos Santana is hitting .286 (4-for-14) against the Rangers, while Carmona is 0-1 against them this year.

Rangers update: They are 10-9 since the All-Star break and had lost three straight before beating Detroit in the series finale Thursday. They are hitting .324 (48-for-148) against the Indians with Elvis Andrus hitting .500 (8-for-16). Holland, Wilson and closer Neftali Felix have not allowed a run against the Indians in 18 2/3 innings.

Injuries: Indians — CF Grady Sizemore (right knee, hernia), RF Shin-Soo Choo (left thumb) and OF Trevor Crowe (right shoulder) are on the disabled list. OF Michael Brantley (right wrist) is day to day. Rangers: RHP Omar Beltre (back), 3B Adrian Beltre (left hamstring), OF Julio Borbon (left ankle) and RHP Mason Tobin (right elbow) are on the disabled list.

Next for Indians: Detroit visits Progressive Field for a three-game series starting Tuesday night.
